A Blue Explosion...

My mom's suitcases finally finished their journey here yesterday and one of them was FILLED with baby stuff! By the time we got done opening it all it looked like a "Baby Blue Bomb" had gone off in our house...so cute! Here we are being dorks and displaying most of the stuff that came yesterday. Buried underneath clothes and blankets is our "Travel Cot"...which is like a pack-n-play, but folds up smaller and is lighter. Even though most everything was for Isaac, his parents weren't totally forgotten... if you look hard enough you'll see Pop-tarts and LOST Season 3 dvd's.

Our friends and family back home have so overwhelmed baby Isaac (and his parents:) with support... a lot of the stuff was from the Skype Shower, but there were some fun things we hadn't seen yet that were fun to open as well. Some things were super-extra special...Like these two blankets and a pair of booties. The white blanket is mine from when I was a baby...looks great for 26 years old. The blue blanket and booties are even older... My great-grandmother "Mama Annie" (Isaac's Great-Great-Grandmother) made the blanket and booties for my dad when he was a baby. She "tatted" the edging around the blue blanket and made the booties herself. HOW COOL! The blanket and booties are 56 years old, but the fact that 5 generations are involved in the story is just so neat to think about.
This is one blessed baby boy!

Woo Hoo! Isaac's "countdown" says 0 days!!!! I'm still hoping that he joins the ranks of all the other "February 16th babies" and comes tomorrow, but I know you'd be happy to see him today. :)

How long will your mom be with you?
