Welcome Isaiah Kingston Rivers!

Our son was born September 7, 2009
We met him and brought him home September 11th.
He was 7lbs 5oz and 21 inches long.

I will be posting more about his adoption story later...but here are a few of the basics...
Isaiah was a "stork drop"...which means his birthmother decided after his birth to make an adoption plan for him so we didn't get to meet her beforehand. She chose us by looking at our profile book. We have since met her and will share a bit more about that later as well. She's sweet though and for sure the most selfless person we've ever met. We picked Isaiah up Friday September 11th from the Bethany office in Orlando. He is absolutely beautiful! And the most well-behaved, non-fussy, content little guy I've ever seen! His birth mother is caucasian and his birth father is Jamaican. He has big brown eyes (Yay! One that looks like mommy!) and is alert for an hour or more at a time a few times a day. He seems to already understand everything around him! We couldn't be happier and we give all glory and praise to God for orchestrating everything so smoothly. We are absolutely blown away by his timing and rejoice that he chose to display his glory in a short wait and that we are on the recieving end of such an incredible gift. We were only on the "waiting list" from August 19th until September 11th... that's just 24 days! WOW!
More to come later... right now both the "boys" (still getting used to the plural!) are asleep and mommy's gonna take advantage!
