...and the i's have it!

on the receiving end...

We realize that taking our kids away from home in America and raising them in a place where "fish-head curry" and "dragon fruit" are normal sights, has it's drawbacks.  But we tend to not focus on all we're missing out on, especially when it comes to the really cool stuff our kids get to experience as "normal."  Here are some recent pics when it feels like we've really lost nothing in being here and gained a ton!
That is a face of joy. Promise! And Isaiah is behind kicking with glee too... getting to have awesome "cousins" nearby like Miss B is definitely a plus!
So glad my kids know these kids...
Cheerios in a no-spill snack cup and a World Heritage Site! Not missing a beat!
The best "Ok, now stand next to your brother and say cheese!" picture we could manage.
...ready for adventure! (and standing together saying "CHEESE!" might I add)
On the way to adventure. :)

Cool places, cool faces.
The sand in his ears, nose, and mouth was intentionally put there all by himself. He will eat anything and if he doesn't eat it, he'll find some other way to make it messy.
We were going for this... but me pregnant and Isaiah 15 pounds heavier than he was last year at this time mean this is what we get.
Me being everything Anthony ever imagined his bride could be and Immanuelle along for the ride at 29 weeks.
Too...
...sweet!
(Even in Dad's undershirt. I won mother-of-the-year in packing clothes that day.)
Yay for times when an out of the ordinary life means Awesomeness!!

Honestly, one of the (many) things that kills me about not living overseas is that I feel like my girls are missing out on SO much! The-grass-is-always-greener-itis? (especially since we're having a severe drought...hardy har har)

I think Isaiah has some of his grandmama's "mouth-open-sleep-while-you-trave-skills"!! I also think the color of tropical water is perfectly relaxing!!
